- 5–7 days before: Avoid waxing and other hair-removal treatments in the treatment area, as directed by your provider.
- 3–5 days before: Avoid retinoids, exfoliating products, and other strong active ingredients, as directed by your provider.
- Before your appointment: Avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure. Your skin should not be sunburned before treatment.
After Your Treatment
Follow your provider's specific aftercare instructions to support healing and protect your skin.
- First 1–3 days: Avoid makeup if your skin is irritated, and use only products recommended by your provider.
- First 7 days: Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and other potentially irritating active ingredients, or follow your provider's specific timeline.
